Gold Vermeil:
All Gold Vermeil products are coated with 2.5 microns of 14k or 18k Yellow or Rose Gold over 925 Sterling Silver. Advantage of vermeil is the resistance to tarnishing. To extend the life of Gold Vermeils, it is advisable to avoid wearing it in a swimming pool, showering, applying lotion, or fragrance. Harsh cleaning detergent will corrode the coating. To clean, rinse it over warm water only and dry it with a soft cloth. This should be followed by storing them separately pouches or boxes we have provided.
Rhodium:
Rhodium is a rare and precious metal. It is sturdy, durable, and highly reflective, it is the perfect plating for 925 sterling silver or 14k or 18k White gold. To extend the life of Gold Vermeils, it is advisable to avoid wearing it in a swimming pool, showering, applying lotion, or fragrance. Harsh cleaning detergent will corrode the coating. To clean, rinse it over warm water only and dry it with a soft cloth. This should be followed by storing them separately pouches or boxes we have provided.
In general, jewellery will have wear and tear even with solid gold jewellery too. Although Gold Vermeil, Rhodium plating will not tarnish as quickly as gold plating, but without proper care, it will still fade or tarnish. However, in exceptional circumstances, especially a persons physique which is slightly more acidic it will cause discolourization or fading.
